Job Description
The Director in this role will be a part of the Decision Support Centre of Excellence Finance team within Corporate Planning and has primary responsibility for Planning and Results activities for Cardmember Spend, Loans and Account metrics and associated key revenue lines for the Commercial business segment.
Responsibilities

Leading a team of up to 5, responsible for forecasting Cards in Force, Billed Business and Cardmember Loans alongside other key stakeholders with associated P&L lines including providing analysis on spend and lend drivers for month-end results and in the monthly outlook process

Partnering with business facing finance colleagues on investigation of spend and lend related P&L variances to ensure accurate understanding of results and inclusion of findings in GCS Risk and Opportunities

Responsible for key associated financial forecasting models with a continuous improvement mindset

Providing consultative financial support to finance colleagues on the Card Lending Business which will include articulation of key trends and anomalies within the results and expected impacts on the GCS business

Working across the organization, linking with key partners across Finance and business to incorporate strategic insights and local / specialized knowledge into the planning process.

Managing key relationships with Risk, Risk Finance and Treasury.

Continuously streamlining and automating processes while ensuring that critical information is still provided in a standardized and intuitive manner to Business and Finance leadership.
This role will have exposure to senior finance leadership and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to create part of the future of the Finance function and leave a legacy within the organization.
Qualifications

Knowledge of financial planning, results and analysis techniques. Lending experience preferred.

Highly motivated individual with an ability to drive results and work while understanding and incorporating multiple viewpoints and motivations from a diverse set of stakeholders.

Advanced narrative and persuasive presentation skills with ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages.

Ability to handle high pressure environment with aggressive deadlines while balancing long term / short term impacts and multiple priorities and customers.

7+ years of relevant work experience.

Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Big Data skills an advantage.
