The MCI (Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure) finance team is looking for a talented and motivated individual to help shape the future of Office 365. You would be joining a new, exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s cloud strategy. Our charter:

In this role you will work closely with engineering and business leaders to deeply understand, scale, and manage the cost structure of the world’s largest cloud properties to support hundreds of millions of customers. This is a rare finance opportunity to gain broad visibility to the operational and business aspects of Microsoft’s strategic shift to cloud and contribute towards its success.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with engineering and business leaders to deeply understand, scale, and manage the cost structure of Microsoft Teams and Skype
- Manage the financial health of Teams and Skype workloads including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning
- Lead several initiatives to drive/influence product ROI decisions, business development deals, and identify areas of efficiencies
- Develop and maintain frameworks to support investment decisions and transfer pricing models
Qualifications
This role requires the ability to quickly understand the big picture with an eye on underlying details and the ability to lead projects.
The role places a premium on working collaboratively and developing successful internal and cross-functional relationships with multiple stakeholders (e.g. Engineering, Operations, and Finance), as well as the capability to synthesize, analyze, and frame complex engineering/operating models and processes in a logical and forward-thinking manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, math, computer science or engineering. MBA and/or CPA preferred
- 5 or more years of Financial Planning & Analysis, or consulting experience with progressive advancement within your discipline, including 2+ years of delivering strategic projects.
- Knowledge of cloud services and/or infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Experience forming cross-group and cross-functional partnerships to achieve goals with strong business partnering skills.
- Proven leadership skills, with demonstrated results in proactively driving and delivering high-value projects both as an individual and through v-teams
- Complex financial modeling
- Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic-level projects to detailed cost analysis
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Strong partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at a hyper pace
- Executive level oral and written communication skills - ability to simplify and communicate complex analysis
