Key Qualifications
  • 8+ years experience in payments specifically in acquiring and bank payments.
  • Business development and relationship management experience.
  • Grit and a strong bias for action.

Description

As part of the Payments Acceptance team in Treasury, you will help scale our global payments technology and infrastructure across the company. You will play a key role in all aspects of strategic payments planning and make meaningful contributions to high-profile initiatives. You will have a 360 view of payments and contribute to the analysis and development of new payment types needed for where Apple sells its products and services. Your goal is to improve efficiencies and scalability across all platforms while reducing costs, increasing controls, and establishing and advancing the best payment practices. You will be responsible leading business partnerships (internal and external) that allow Apple’s customers to purchase products and services Online and in Stores, as well as through iTunes and the App Store. The group is cross-functional in nature, and will focus on developing global payment solutions to support these business units.

Responsibilities:

Explore new global payments initiatives and expansion; research and understand global payment rules and regulations. Internally determine feasibility of new payment instruments and work with internal partners on the business case to support. Externally set road maps with our partners.

Educate internal groups on payment solutions and business impacts.

Lead and participate in active cross-functional payment projects with IS&T, our business partners, and vendors on strategic initiatives.

Assist in Apple’s efforts to maintain a best-in-class control environment and PCI compliance. Analyze costs, trends, and other payments related data to recommend opportunities for improvements.

- Partner with Apple corporate counsel on negotiation and execution of legal agreements.

- Own the partnerships with networks, banks, and payment processors.

- Refine and improve the monthly cost of tender payments analysis. Look for ways to reduce payment fees.

- Analyze payment data and metrics and identify optimization opportunities.

- Handle credit card contracts to ensure we are getting the full advantage of our negotiations, staying ahead of changing credit card rules and regulatory landscape.

- Ensure the business is updated on changes that impact them.

- Hold fraud summits with the networks to bridge the offerings between vendors and the business.

Education & Experience
MBA desired but not required, BS/BA degree.
