The Graphics Software Engineering team is within VTT develops drivers and related technology for Intel's processor graphics customers. We are looking for a Graphics Software Architect to join our team and who is ready to make significant impact in the graphics and visual computing.
Software architect is responsible for the technical direction of a project. Makes high level design choices for the software structure, frameworks, protocols, and algorithms. Determines coding practices, development tools, and validation requirements. Performs pathfinding and surveys technologies. Interacts with multiple technologists in the company and within the industry as well as between developers and project managers to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.
VTT is looking for talented GPU SW Architects to help us push the boundaries for our 3D graphics roadmap and providing compelling visual and compute experiences for our customers. Intel's GPU roadmap is aggressively evolving to be best-in-class for 3D graphics, machine learning, video processing, and other highly parallelized data applications.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Proactively identifying emerging new usage models, developing end-to-end solutions to support them, and overseeing the deployment of the technology into production HW/SW.
- Working closely with external customers, application developers, and operating system vendors to deploy new graphics technologies.
- Developing a strong partnership with corresponding HW architects to influence our graphics HW roadmap.
- Providing strategic leadership and ensuring best in class features on Intel graphics
- Developing proof of concepts of major/complex features
- Actively challenging development & validation teams to build best in class engineering capabilities
- Role modeling technical leadership attributes
- Mentoring other colleagues pursuing a technical leadership career path

Qualifications
Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus 7+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 5+ years of industry experience.
Your experience should be in the following areas:
- Graphics driver development
- GPU architecture
- OS system architecture
Preferred Qualifications:
- 16+ years of experience in graphics drivers and architecture.
- Multi-gpu graphics driver development experience
