As the team lead within Intel Sports, this person is responsible for defining and the execution of an Intel Sports Event Strategy across a myriad of industries: entertainment, sports and technology. The strategy is inclusive of a fully integrated global event activation, which entails 360 marketing and alignment to Intel Sports overall marketing strategy.
In this role, you will oversee the entire program development life cycle from strategy to execution to post-mortems. As the Global Events Director, you must lead a cross-functional team to deliver on the strategy and on time and on budget. You will also be required to work closely with other Business Units when planning for Corporate Lead events such as CES, NAB, Cannes, and other related events.
The person must have a passion for Sports and Entertainment; be able to work in a fast pace environment, a self-starter and is gritty. You should have existing relationships in the sports and technology industry and be able to hit the ground running on Day 1. In addition, the Global Events Director needs to have experience working with a myriad of event and marketing agencies.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop event strategy, including conceiving event ideas, planning logistics and programming
- Identify how best to bring forward the Immersive Media vision in events
- Work closely with executive management to ensure Keynotes align to the overall marketing and events strategy
- Identify best agencies to partner with in support of the events strategy
- Review contracts, coordinate with business and legal teams
- Plan and manage event budgets
- Produce events and capture for promotion; create and maintain timelines, run of shows and specialized floor plans
- Collaborate with the broader Intel Sports Marketing team as well as Intel's Global Marketing Team
- Leverage all marketing channels to maximize the investment in events
- Drive market penetration for Intel's Immersive Media experiences
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree; MBA is a plus
- Minimum 10 years in Sports Marketing
- Experience in Events Strategy
- Experience in Technology Conferences
