Brief Description of the Organization
CBNA is the primary legal entity for Citi, providing products and services to consumers, financial institutions and corporate clients around the world.In the past, Citi has provided most of its internal reporting on a business by business basis.With the changes in the regulatory environment, strong legal entity reporting and governance has become essential.This team is responsible for ensuring that CBNA has the appropriate governance and control infrastructure to meet the demand for legal entity planning, execution, information management and the ever-evolving regulatory environment.
Description of the Position
An Investment Finance (IF) Transactor is a Lending Product Specialist within the Investment Finance business whose primary responsibility is to perform the analysis required for the credit approval of Citi Private Bank’s core product range and to work alongside Senior IF Transactors on more tailored or complex solutions. An IF Transactor is expected to pursue the required career development and training in order to achieve the status of Business Credit Officer and ultimately Business Senior Credit Officer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·Assisting in the marketing and sale of the full IF Product range through preparation of materials and maintenance of databases

·Assist in the preparation of EDAC and Greenlight memos (as applicable)

·In partnership with the Senior IF Transactors, assist with the structuring and execution of more complex or tailored transactions, meeting Risk Acceptance Criteria

·Full loan underwriting with appropriate risk return characteristics of Citi Private Bank’s standard product range, ensuring appropriate compliance with Credit Policy and Risk Acceptance standards

·Preparation of Credit Applications ensuring accuracy and completeness of data

·Financial Analysis including cash flow statements

·Collateral Evaluation covering Marketable Securities, Property and other asset classes

·Preparing and negotiating credit documentation for facilities, including liaison with external counsel as required as well as undertaking the annual review of documentation

·Preparing and reviewing facility covenants
-
·CA Annual reviews
-
·Problem Recognition and assisting with classified loans remedial management
-
·Lead the origination and execution of investment finance opportunities including analyzing the credit worthiness, underwriting, structuring and closing transactions.

·Presenting new deals to Risk
-
·Establish, develop and maintain relationships with CFO’s, ED’s and MP’s.

KEY CHALLENGES
In summary this is a demanding role that provides the right individual with the opportunity to season credit and marketing skills and over time gain a full understanding of Citibank’s Credit Policies and Procedures. It requires a strong mix of analytical and process skills and the ability to influence stakeholders, including Private Bankers, Risk, auditors or other areas of the Bank and to ensure processes meet the Bank’s highest standards.
