This position will provide Finance assistance for initiatives with partner companies, worldwide Diners Club franchises, and international network alliances. The Lead Financial Analyst will model potential deals and opportunities, and work with leadership and multiple teams, to help the organization achieve its goals. This role is an excellent opportunity to build analytical experience and strategic thinking capability in an internal-consulting environment.
Provides financial and business analysis support for key Discover Network initiatives. Provides analytical and strategic advice for investment decisions, pricing changes, profitability and the development of new products.
Responsibilities
- Develops profitability analyses and projections for marketing and customer segments.
- Analyzes customer behaviors and product profitability trends to understand financial implications and influence actions.
- Develops and enhances financial models. Improves forecasting accuracy and drives business insights.
- Provides management with strategic advice and financial analyses for investment decisions, pricing changes, and channel and segment expansions.
- Performs competitive analyses to drive strategic insights and actions.
- Translates business opportunities and issues into financial analyses. Develops business cases with recommendations to management.
- Collaborates closely with partners across the organization (including Global Business Development, Product Development, Pricing, and other Finance teams).
- Owns the project process from end-to-end (including modeling, presenting to internal customers, and providing input to executive presentations).

Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Financial Services, Consulting, Investment Banking, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
If we had our say, we’d also look for:
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in Financial Services, Consulting, Investment Banking, or related field
