We’re seeking an Financial Reporting Manager, based in our Denver, Colorado office (global headquarters).
Sound interesting? This person will manage the planning and direction of departmental activities related to general accounting functions and preparation of financial and regulatory reports. You will be responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the ledger accounts and financial statements in compliance with Company and GAAP standards. As a leader, you will oversee the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs supporting the Finance organization, and participate in the most complex accounting projects.
Here are some specifics:
- Review month end topside journal entries.
- Review and analyze month end and quarterly reporting schedules and financial statements.
- Prepare standalone financial statements according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS and state specific requirements, supporting schedules and coordinate audit.
- Analyze complex balance sheet accounts and portfolio reporting.
- Timely response to the company’s licensing and examination financial requests.
- Communicate with various regulatory agencies regarding required filings and related issues.
- Work with Business Partners, including both the VP and the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting, compliance, legal and treasury, to analyze, monitor, interpret, implement, and resolve new and proposed regulatory reporting issues.
- Design and develop ad hoc reporting and regulatory reporting databases.
- Manage and mentor Senior Accountant(s).
- Assist with special projects as they arise.
- Perform leadership role in initiating and implementing process improvements.
What you will need to succeed:
- 5+ years of accounting experience with experience in the technical accounting field
- Advanced problem solving, technical, decision-making, communication and diplomacy.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems.
- Advanced system skills including MS Excel, Word and Access.
- Ability to design and analyze working processes for potential efficiencies and help implement automated solutions to achieve greater efficiencies.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Experience working with multiple departments and multiple management levels.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, including ability to influence others and work effectively across geographies and functions in a matrix organization as well as to clearly and concisely present findings at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to effectively set priorities, manage multiple staff, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and produce quality work while dealing with interruptions.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA Required
- Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
- HFM experience preferred
- Fluency in more than one language (English required)
