The M&A Finance team is part of the core cross-functional team that supports PayPal’s M&A activity led by the Corporate Development team beginning from due diligence through deal integration. The M&A Finance Integration role is responsible for driving and managing the integration of acquisitions as relates to all components of the Finance organization under John Rainey (CFO).
The M&A Finance team is part of the core cross-functional team that supports PayPal’s M&A activity led by the Corporate Development team. The M&A Finance team is primarily responsible for accounting due diligence and analysis for all acquisitions and minority investments, as well as coordination of integration activities performed by other M&A Finance workstreams including Tax, Treasury, Business Unit Finance, and Finance Systems.
The M&A Finance Integration role within this team is responsible for driving and managing the integration of acquisitions as relates to all components of the Finance organization under John Rainey (CFO). This role is a high visibility role that requires the ability to lead several process workstreams through explorations, gap analysis, integration planning, execution, and problem solving. The ability to work collaboratively with workstream leads and subject matter experts to arrive at risk-based approaches related to tactical execution steps is required.
An ideal candidate for this role would possess the following skills/experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an executive presence
- Ability to distill and communicate integration plans to others within the organization
- PMO/Organization skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Mindset to proactively engage and evaluate (and drive resolution of) potential conflicts between various Finance and non-Finance functions
- Analytical mindset that focuses on risk evaluation and mitigation
- Ability to lead and drive execution of plans
- Comfort with navigating complex decision points in order to ensure stakeholder buy-in
- Comfort with problem solving and creative solutioning
