Overview

Mastercard Data & Services, the professional services arm of Mastercard Worldwide, provides payments-focused consulting, marketing, platforms, information, loyalty and risk management services to financial institutions and merchants worldwide. This new role will be part of Mastercard (MA) Collaboration and Network Sales team responsible for collaboration with Mastercard and Data & Services product teams to embedded relevant D&S assets to Mastercard solutions, so they do not require discrete sales but “come-with” Mastercard Core solutions.

Role

The Network Sales & Partnerships role will be responsible for supporting the Global and Regional Sales teams to define the D&S assets that can be distributed to clients through Mastercard network (ex.: Bulletins) or be embedded on Mastercard core solutions or sold through partnerships, etc. (“one to many” sales mechanisms).

This role requires strong strategic thinking, team organizational skills, knowledge of the payments value chain, an innovation mindset and leadership capabilities.

• Understand business and market dynamics, Mastercard’s product and services, and markets’ needs to identify opportunities and recommend development of new D&S solutions to be distributed through “one to many” sales mechanisms

• Deliver go-to-market for D&S solutions to be distributed through “one to many” sales mechanisms in partnership with D&S regional sales teams and product teams, increase penetration/cross-sell opportunities and expand distribution across the regions

• Communicate client needs back into product management and development teams to assist in product definition, development, and pricing

• Assist in driving “one to many” sales mechanism through cross-functional project teams involving several D&S areas (Regional Sales Team, Product Management, Product Development, Finance, Legal, etc.) and Mastercard’s areas (Product & Innovation, ESS, Account Teams, etc.)

• Develop reporting, analytics, and presentations for tracking key initiatives, product utilization, and performance in supported markets. Conduct analyses & data mining to identify & capture opportunities. Build and manage a sales pipeline.

• Work with D&S and Mastercard teams to ensure clients are aware or D&S assets distributed through “one to many” mechanisms to drive value for clients and cross-selling opportunities

All About You

• Knowledge of payments industry and value chain required; good understanding of Mastercard core products and, especially of data & cyber solutions is preferred.

• Disciplined approach to Product Management Excellence (PME) and, sales pipeline development, management, tracking, and reporting.

• Undergraduate degree required; Advanced degree or MBA a plus.

• Strong analytical skills - ability to identify issues before they develop into problems and to proactively resolve issues directly or through escalation to appropriate partners/stakeholders.

• Strong team working skills - ability to work collaboratively and both independently and in a team environment.

• Strong presence & communication skills - both interpersonal & written.

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proactive, curious to learn, and eager to crack complex topics.

• Self-motivated with a demonstrated track record of success.
