Citibank, N.A. seeks a Private Banker for its Houston, Texas location.
 
Duties: Design financial and investment strategies for client portfolios, with a focus on high-net worth Mexican clients. Work in a client-facing role. Work with Citi’s suite of Mexican funds and financial products, including investment, credit and trust products, to evaluate client profiles against Citi’s Mexican investment platform and portfolio. Recommend strategic asset allocations for both onshore and offshore high-net worth clients. Maintain client relationships by connecting them with a wide array of Citi financial services and banking and investment products in accordance with their particularized needs, and in compliance with internal sales and operational processes and legal and regulatory frameworks. Evaluate client profiles in terms of return expectations, risk appetite, time horizon, and liquidity needs; guide clients in selecting specific financial products and portfolios. Work with credit, trust, investment products, bonds, stocks, structured notes, Dual Currency Instruments, private equity funds, real estate funds, margin loans, mortgages, hedge funds, mutual funds, Exchange Traded Funds, swaps and other derivatives. Communicate product performance, quotes, valuations and securities information to the client. Collaborate with Product Specialists to effectively implement client decisions, and facilitate client access to information relevant to their respective investments. Execute sales strategies and to perform post-sales maintenance. Develop and prepare sales investment materials for prospective and existing clients on new product offerings and relevant product information. Provide accurate and timely revenue tracking and deal pipeline reports and other relevant information to the Team Leader/Global Market Manager. Conduct prospective client research, generate leads and network to identify referrals to prospective clients. Coordinate and organize prospective client meetings and events.
Qualifications
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics or a closely related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Financial Sales Advisor, Banker or closely related position. 5 years of progressively responsible work experience must include: Working with Mexican clients in finance and global wealth planning; Working with Mexican Tax implications of investing in the US; Performing financial engineering, asset classes, portfolio theory; Utilizing Bloomberg, Factset; Identify new business opportunities; Managing or assisting in the management of Client Portfolios; Interacting with different internal business areas to coordinate the asset allocation process.
