Senior Manager, Financial Management
Thought leader within the On Demand Finance Transformation team responsible for the delivery of a reimagined financial forecasting process for Capital One. Our reimagined process will enable our associates to drive insights and conduct deep analysis leveraging an integrated ecosystem which allows an array of forecasts efficiently and transparently when they are needed. This role entails strong cross-functional engagement, thinking strategically, and the ability to assess needs across a broad range of customers. It also requires influence skills with executive and associates at all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop infrastructure and processes in support of finance team and business goals, primarily in support of forecast development and actual monthly reporting.
- Coordinate seamlessly between partners across finance and the broader enterprise
- Develop a detailed understanding of all needs and uses of forecasting across the Finance organization, developing a clear assessment of forecasting intents
- Drive delivery of Value Stream intents in relation to forecasting; ensure alignment with enhancements to our data and automation capabilities
- Lead multiple projects by implementing effective delivery structures and providing solid project management oversight
- Provide thought leadership working closely with Product Managers and subject matter experts
- Apply integrative thinking skills to current challenges and opportunities we face in our transformation of Finance through our On Demand Finance work
- Engage with peer organizations and maintain a pulse of technology developments
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in financial analysis
- At least 5 years’ experience with financial modeling
- At least 3 years’ experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
- Experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- At least 1 year of people management experience
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- 5+ years’ experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
- 2+ years of people management experience
- 1+ year of people management experience managing both direct and indirect reports
