This role will be responsible for advisory financial engagements with key stakeholders across the geographic territory in which they'll support. A high-level strategic engagement to ensure we are driving the best strategic outcome for Microsoft in key deals is required. Strongfinancial acumen leveraging a advisory framework and ability to engage with stakeholders is required. Mapping and articulating financial constructs and payment structures that will drive the highest ROI benefit to Microsoft will be expected. Building and keeping partnership with operational support teams and compliance teams is a must is this role. This position will require some travel.
Responsibilities
- Work and contribute to a compliance focused payment solution culture.
- Educating and advising stakeholders for how best to leverage payment solutions to drive strategic outcomes for the company.
- Leverage financial models/modeling to illustrate the economic outcome(s) for customers and execute payment solution transactions.
- Partner closely with CELA, Tax, Accounting, Finance, Business Desk, Field Controllers, and the overall field to ensure effective, compliant, and streamlined deal execution.
- Be a subject matter expert on the use of payment solutions to support customer engagements, especially with CFOs, on how to structure payments to meet customer needs and maximize usage of Microsoft products and services.
- Partner closely with subsidiary and territory leadership to integrate payment solutions into the go to market strategies to drive Cloud usage and managing discounting.
- Work closely with Strategy & Solutions, Operations and IT teams to implement bank financing and on-book payment solutions leveraging innovative technology solutions.
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience with Microsoft, or other large multi-national companies
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field is desirable. Master’s degree is a plus
- Strong leadership experience in finance and operations required. Experience with financing deal execution is a preferred
- High-level of integrity, self-confidence, demonstrated change management and support for a diverse and inclusive culture
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Sales, Legal, Finance, Tax, Licensing, and Treasury in order to support new solutions across different regions
- Motivated self-starter that can clearly identify and articulate business and customer values through technology
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams to achieve results, strategic thinking and alignment and ability to act as an evangelist and catalyst to drive payment solutions
- A strong influencer who can look beyond the obvious to come up with requirements that will lead to increased productivity, new insights and value propositions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with financial calculations; familiarity with financial and accounting practices and reports
- Must demonstrate ability to influence others with empathy while under pressure to deliver compliant time based outcomes to key stakeholders and customers
