Relationship Manager - Auto Finance

Public Finance Credit Analyst

Responsibilities:

 

Manage the Bank’s credit exposure to assigned borrowers:

 

· Input certain financial statements and specified data into the Bank’s online risk analyst spreading system used to       determine risk ratings.
·  Prepare assigned borrower annual reviews.
·  Communicate any evidence of deteriorating situations.
·  Monitor rating agency changes for portfolio borrowers, process rating changes, communicate any downgrades.
·  Prepare credit actions to update risk ratings.
·  Support Underwriters in summarizing key credit factors in requests for lending proposals.
·  Assist in compiling and verifying data for portfolio reviews.
·  Assist in compiling research for ad hoc projects (for example, credit impact of natural disasters).

To do this we are partnering with fundamental parts of the business, including risk management, finance, and data management to transform how we work at Capital One. As Director, you will lead the design portfolio for the finance ecosystem.   


In this role, you will:

  • Partner with executives, department leaders, and key stakeholders across organizations to identify, define, and prioritize strategies that align common business, customer, and associate needs

  • Engage executives and stakeholders in the design of end-to-end, data driven products and experiences to enable business transformation for the finance organization

  • Define objectives and key results to measure and track the business impact of design initiatives across the finance organization

  • Establish scalable design engagement, interaction, and governance models for integrated Product, Engineering & Design initiatives

  • Align Product, Tech, and Design leadership to minimum viable product scope and delivery roadmaps

  • Oversee the delivery of concurrent finance design workstreams from strategy through to implementation

  • Build relationships across the enterprise and navigate large, complex ecosystems and organizations to identify gaps or opportunity areas and collaboratively solve problems

  • Attract, hire, and retain talent to build highly skilled team of design makers and strategists

  • Guide and mentor Finance Ecosystem Design leads through their development paths

  • Manage a team of 3–6 direct reports and lead a larger team of indirect reports

  • Oversee budget, assess headcount, execute hiring plans to achieve portfolio objectives

  • Advocate for integrated experience design, and foster a community of practice in Finance to drive organizational change and build influencers across Product & Tech

  • Create platforms, operational processes, design systems and frameworks, and practices to effectively, and efficiently deliver integrated design experiences at scale for Finance

  • Share tools, methods, and experience patterns beyond finance to integrate the enterprise ecosystem

Requirements

  • You have deep service design chops with a particular emphasis on business; you understand business frameworks and systemic strategic work; you can spot opportunities to gain operational efficiencies, increase customer engagement, and unlock new revenue opportunities.   • You have a track record of thought leadership that includes conferences, teaching, and practice building

  • You have successfully led the design of multi-channel product or service experiences

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in design, human-computer interaction, or related design field

  • 10+ years of professional leadership experience designing digital products and multi-channel services

  • Regular speaker at design conferences or teaching seminars

  • Examples and references that demonstrate your ability to successfully lead others

Preferred Qualifications

  • MDes, MS, or MFA in design

  • Demonstrated Agile delivery experience

Finance Risk Management –Sr. Associate

The Finance Risk Management (“FRM”) Control and Transaction Testing Sr. Associate performs a key first line of defense role, to help ensure corporate initiatives and departmental process compliance with applicable laws, regulations, business requirements and controls. This position is responsible for developing and performing independent testing of processes and controls accurately and timely per the established testing methodology. The role builds tests across various lines of business (LOBs) related to Capital Markets and a basic understanding of regulatory requirements and controls as applied to business processes is expected. This position requires interactions with a variety of stakeholders and subject matter experts and, at times, supports the broader FRM team via related governance activities and specialty projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute transaction and control tests across multiple LOBs and workstreams
  • Adhere to FRM testing methodology, including Procedures, job aids and interaction models
  • Write test questions, perform and review tests across full spectrum of complexity, including assessments for Design and Operating Effectiveness
  • Through testing, determine business process adherence to applicable laws, regulatory requirements, business requirements and controls
  • Document test results per FRM testing methodology; escalate issues as appropriate
  • Support retrieval and quality assurance of data used for testing across tests executing within each month
  • Support related governance activities, projects, audits or exams, as requested
  • Understand regulatory and business process environment changes and the impact of those changes to current and upcoming tests

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in risk management or regulatory compliance
  • At least 1 year of experience in process, control design or execution testing

Preferred qualifications:

  • CIA, CQIA, CRCM, APRM, ICBRR or related professional certification
  • At least 2 years of experience in risk management or regulatory compliance, preferably in the financial services sector (e.g., compliance, legal, audit, data governance, business risk office, credit risk management)
  • At least 2 years of experience in process or control design and execution testing via quality assurance, audit or examination
  • Strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; effective communication and collaborative abilities
  • Ability to work independently and flexible to change in a fast-paced environment that requires the balancing of competing priorities
  • Working knowledge of and ability to use MS Office applications such as Word and Excel
