Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to join the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team. This position will work closely with various stakeholders including Accounting, Finance, and Financial Systems teams to solve complex problems that directly impact Amazon’s internal and external financial reporting. The Finance Manager will lead the creation of the monthly, quarterly and annual planning and reporting packages. The successful candidate will design new processes and build new analyses, models and reports to provide more actionable data to leaders. This person will be a key stakeholder in the re-architecture of the Cognos TM1 planning and reporting environment. Additionally, this individual will perform various ad-hoc analyses to help drive insights into business performance and work with finance stakeholders to understand financial implications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive generation of company-wide financial reporting
• Own corporate finance reporting definitions and drive its uniform adoption across the finance organization.
• Serve as a liaison between accounting and system teams to drive an accurate close process.
• Build analyses and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Streamline processes and lead improvement projects.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field and a minimum 7 years of finance experience, or master’s degree and 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant finance experience.
• Experience in financial reporting systems/finance process improvements.
• Experience and ability to use Essbase, Cognos, or similar tools.
• Strong analytic, financial modeling and reporting skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Comfortable with large volumes of complex data and presenting their findings to senior management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to deal with ambiguity and work effectively on cross-functional teams.
